Alumnus: Larry Christopher, 1953–2020

Casa Grande—Larry O’Neal Christopher Jr., 67, of Casa Grande died at home on Nov. 24, 2020.

Mr. Christopher was born on Feb. 17, 1953, in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, to Larry O. Christopher Sr. and Margaret Crago Christopher. He graduated from Casa Grande Union School in 1971. He then attended Central Arizona College from 1971 to 1975 and received an Associate of Science degree in pre-engineering. He was employed by Wilson Electric Services Corporation as a journeyman electrician and had been with the company since 1996.

He enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing, biking, gardening, motorcycle riding and chicken husbandry. His other hobbies were photography, collecting movies and music, and model airplane building. He liked to cook a variety of foods and enjoyed his mother’s and daughters’ cooking. His favorite food was Mexican and the spicier the better. He spent a lot of time fishing and camping with his daughters while they were growing up. He was loved by all who knew him.

Surviving, in addition to his parents of Casa Grande, are three daughters, Carla Christopher Martinez of Casa Grande, Sarah Christopher Mena of Chandler and Peggy Christopher Morales of Casa Grande; two sisters, Terri Wilson of Little Elm, Texas, and Cindy Sherman of Flag- staff; a brother, Jeff Christopher of Portland, Oregon; and five grandchildren.
